ESPN Bet Odds: New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans
Both the Jets and Titans had disappointing games in Week 1. The reigning NFC champions blew out the Jets, while the Titans threw away a game against the Chicago Bears.
The Jets are currently -3.5 against the spread and -195 moneyline (outright winner). The Titans are given +165 odds to win the game outright.
The Jets were road favorites twice last season, against the New York Giants and the Las Vegas Raiders. The Jets went 1-1 in those games outright but 0-2 against the spread.
Kyle’s Value Bet: Player Props
The New York Jets struggle against tight ends, which is a function of their defensive scheme and personnel.
With a weak safety group and a defense that dares teams to beat them with quick passes over the middle, tight ends often have strong days against them. This week, they go up against an emerging young tight end in Chig Okonkwo, who became a central part of the Titans offense last season.
Right now, Okonkwo is +210 to have 35+ receiving yards at ESPN. That seems a strong bet to me.
Meanwhile, the Jets have made it no secret that their offensive scheme is built around getting either Garrett Wilson or Breece Hall the ball in any way they can. So, seeing Hall at +225 to have 45+ receiving yards immediately pops out to me.
After all, Hall topped that mark six times last season and came within just six yards last week in a game where the Jets almost never had the ball.
