Yannick Ngakoue, an EDGE who’d make a perfect New York Jets employee, once again makes his unhappiness with the Jacksonville Jaguars clear.
The idea of Yannick Ngakoue manning down one of Gregg Williams’s two EDGE spots Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season is almost too much for some New York Jets fans to envision. Therefore, let’s not allow fantasies to run wild.
At the same time, the man isn’t the perfect Jacksonville Jaguars employee at the moment.
Ngakoue, 25, has made it clear his long-term future isn’t in Jacksonville. He wouldn’t sign a long-term deal with the Jags this offseason and even went as far as to say his future isn’t with the Jaguars,
“The Jaguars are aware I no longer have interest in signing a long-term contract in Jacksonville,” Ngakoue wrote on Twitter. “Duval, I love you and gave you guys everything I got. I’m thankful for the journey and look forward to continuing my career elsewhere.

Now, nearly a month later, the Jags EDGE is at it again on the social media platform.
Quoting a Mike Garofolo tweet, Ngakoue made his stance clear that he can’t understand why the organization would hang onto him despite his wishes.
Let’s agree to disagree . Why hold a man from taking care of his family. It’s obvious my time is up in my current situation. Let’s both move on @Jaguars 🏁 https://t.co/XvGcSAQQkH

The third-round pick has been a consistent pass rusher since his rookie season four years ago. His 37.5 sacks in 63 career games must have had Joe Douglas salivating a couple of months ago, as the mere presence of a young EDGE man like this kid on the free-agent market is something incredibly worthwhile.
It wasn’t to be. The Jags franchised-tagged the man and the two camps have been at odds since.
Stay tuned. It’s clear Yannick Ngakoue won’t stop chirping about his status down south.
