It can legitimately be argued that Darrelle Revis is the greatest shutdown-cover cornerback in NFL history, which means he’s easily the best New York Jets corner (and perhaps defender) in franchise history.

Backing up a tremendous 2006 NFL draft, the Eric Mangini-Mike Tannenbaum regime traded up in 2007 to select Pittsburgh’s Darrelle Revis at No. 14.

The Western Pennsylvania product paid immediate dividends.

Revis was named to an incredible four First-Time All-Pro Teams (three with the Jets, 2009-2011), and his 2009 season is the greatest cornerback season in league history.
