Breece Hall has officially arrived. The New York Jets rookie running back that has first-round talent yet slipped to the 36th pick in the 2022 NFL draft, quickly turned heads.

Sure, rookie running backs—of all NFL positions—have just as great a chance to perform as great as anybody immediately, but the Iowa State product crushed it during his rookie year.

That was when he was on the field.

Hall led the Jets in rushing in 2022. Incredibly, his 463 yards and four touchdowns led the team in spite of playing just seven games.

It was Hall’s injury in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos—coupled with Alijah Vera Tucker’s—that represented the turning point in the Jets’ season. Sitting pretty at 5-2 following the 16-9 victory at Mile High Stadium, New York would drop eighth of their final 10 games.

Equipped with a taller and bigger frame, Breece Hall’s one-cut ability coupled with his compelling vision makes him a perfect fit in Nathaniel Hackett’s rushing attack.

Hall, who often hears the “Breeeeeece” chants at MetLife Stadium, is poised to make a tremendous comeback from his knee injury in his sophomore season.

Breece Hall scores only Jets TD against Giants

Breece Hall’s 50-yard touchdown reception was the New York Jets’ lone touchdown in their 13-10 overtime victory over the New York Giants.

Breece Hall tallies game-winning TD vs. Eagles

Breece Hall’s second touchdown of the 2023 season came on a play where the opposition didn’t even try to bring him down. Although it was an incredibly idiotic strategy by Nick Sirainni, Hall’s overall Week 6 effort requires applause.

Hall’s 39 yards and a score on 12 carries were workmanlike in nature, but it was enough to help the New York Jets to a shocking 20-14 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Breece Hall shines in return from injury

Breece Hall’s return game went about as well as anybody could have imagined.

Rushing for 127 yards on just 10 carries, Hall showed burst and explosiveness all night. It was he who truly led the way offensively in the New York Jets’ 22-16 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Yes, despite playing just seven games (not even a full seven games), the 2022 New York Jets’ leading rusher comes from the Breece Hall stats column.

Amazingly, Hall’s 463 yards and four touchdowns led the Jets from a rushing perspective in 2022. Moreover, the Iowa State product’s 5.8 yards per carry is other-worldly.

The beautiful aspect of this New York Jets roster—as constructed by general manager Joe Douglas—is just how efficient it is from a salary perspective.

The numbers in the Breece Hall salary department fall in line with other individuals of this young Jets nucleus. Drafting a young core that resides on value rookie contracts is the goal of every general manager looking to rebuild an NFL program, and Breece Hall is firmly in the middle of this nucleus.
