Connor McGovern isn’t shy to cite the reason he decided to sign with the New York Jets, and it’s quite the confident one.

On a day Rex Ryan created his fair share of controversial news (Google “Rex Ryan, Amari Cooper“), one of the newest New York Jets decided to use the “S” word.

Super Bowl.

No. Of course Connor McGovern’s use of the word doesn’t match Ryan’s flame-throwing, high-testosterone blazing use of the big-game fans witnessed a decade ago, but he sure wasn’t shy of citing it as the reason he decided to move east.

On a Friday conference call that introduced most of the Jets freshest high-impact free agent acquisitions, the Jets new center stated his reason to accept the 3-year, $27 million deal Joe Douglas and company offered.
