Joe Douglas and the New York Jets decided to bring back four exclusive rights free agents ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Kickin’ Ficken has returned. The New York Jets have brought back four exclusive rights free agents ahead of the 2020 NFL draft, per the team.
Kicker Sam Ficken, linebacker Franke Luvu (a man who can play both edge and second level), linebacker B.J. Bello and offensive lineman Leo Koloamatangi have all been brought back by Joe Douglas and the front office.
Ficken, 27, is the most notable of the foursome. He served as the Jets placekicker in 2019 after a couple of failures prior. He eventually connected on 19 of 27 total attempts in 15 games, including a game-winner at MetLife Stadium against the Miami Dolphins in December.
Luvu, 23, is entering his potential third year with New York. The undrafted free agent of 2018 has collected four sacks over the last two years, three of which came during his rookie season. Luvu has been a constant special teamer for Brant Boyer.
B.J Bello and Leo Koloamatangi round out the group as two players looking to make a splash in 2019. Bello suited up in eight games for the Jets a year ago while Kolomatangi has yet to dress for an NFL game in his career.
