New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is spotted throwing footballs with four-time playoff-game winner Mark Sanchez.
USC back-to-back was a frightening thought for many New York Jets fans. It was why some of them didn’t want to see Roger Goodell announce Sam Darnold as the third pick of the 2018 NFL draft.
Others, however, said, “Bring it on.” After all, Mark Sanchez is the organization’s all-time playoff winner at the position with four.
On Tuesday, the California kids were spotted throwing footballs together on the beach, per Coach Aaron (Instagram: @coachaaronrha). (Josh Allen and Kyle Allen were also involved in the provided video.)

Aaron Campbell—founder of the RH Academy—is one working closely with quarterback guru Jordan Palmer, whose work with Darnold and others this offseason has been well chronicled.
Darnold, 23, is ready to enter the third year of his professional career with a lot to prove. Missing three games via injury his rookie season and another three due to an unexpected bout of mono have contributed to less-than-eye-popping seasons in New Jersey.
Of course, the lack of any talent in front of him could easily be pointed to as the rationalization for his average production from an overall standpoint. Darnold threw for 3,024 yards and 19 touchdowns to 13 picks in 13 games for Adam Gase’s offense in 2019.
Among the Darnold concerns this offseason is the kid’s footwork, which really seemed to regress from year one into year two. It was most evident in the Monday Night Football ghost game at MetLife Stadium against the New England Patriots.
Hopefully for the New York Jets sake, Sam Darnold’s worked out that and much more of his game this offseason with the help of Coach Aaron, Jordan Palmer and others.
