Le’Veon Bell: ‘When they talk, a lot of times, they bite off more than they can chew’

Le’Veon Bell recently discussed his post-Jamal Adams era tweet and provided an interesting quote about biting off more than they can chew.

Le’Veon Bell isn’t mad. He’s motivated, as he already explained on Twitter after the comments started to flood in courtesy of his reactionary tweet to the Jamal Adams trade.

In an interview with Dash Radio, the New York Jets hip-hop workhorse provided insight into the entire saga.

“You know what you did, and you lied to me,” Bell said of his former teammate.

Bell, 28, joined the Jets last offseason by signing a four-year deal with Mike Maccagnan at the helm. Publicly, Adams was vocal and apparently played a major role in helping bring Bell to New Jersey.

On Saturday, Adams was traded to the Seattle Seahawks and a 2022 fourth-round pick for Bradley McDougald, a pair of first-round selections (2021 and 2022), and a 2021 third-rounder.

Bell was quick to hit the keyboard.

Bell then replied to Adams’ response that simply said, “Noted. See you Week 14!”

Perhaps the most telling quote came in a general sense. While making sure to not attribute it to Adams specifically, Bell provided a clear message to all those talkers out there.

“When they talk, a lot of times, they bite off more than they can chew,” Bell said.

At the end of the day, Bell claims he’s not losing any sleep over the situation. Adams is in the Great Northwest, Joe Douglas set the Jets up for future success, and Bell is out to prove 2019 was one giant fluke.

Le’Veon Bell is currently in New Jersey moving through the proper protocols of this new world.
