FLORHAM PARK, NJ—The New York Jets finally welcomed several injured players back to practice Wednesday, and one of them might be the biggest name in the locker room.

Le’Veon Bell, Jabari Zuniga, Vyncint Smith and Blake Cashman are all designated to return to practice from IR. All four practiced Wednesday afternoon in Florham Park, NJ.

Bell, 28, looked good while in running back positionals. No. 26 appeared to be the same savvy and smooth back he’s always been.

Elsewhere, head coach Adam Gase announced that quarterback Sam Darnold will miss the Week 5 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals at MetLife Stadium this Sunday.

“Staring off, Joe (Flacco) will start this week (and) Sam will be out,” Gase told reporters Wednesday morning. “We went through our process, our doctors, second opinions, just making sure we do the right thing not only by (Darnold) in the immediate future (and) long term. So, he is really going to be week-to-week right now.”

Jets X-Factor Membership Logged Out

Joe Flacco takes over an absolutely dreadful offense that hasn’t been able to do much this season. While he’ll have Bell and perhaps Vyncint Smith back, wide receivers Breshad Perriman and Denzel Mims are trending in the wrong direction. Perriman did not practice Wednesday and Mims has yet to join the active roster.

Others who missed practice include Bless Austin (calf), Mekhi Becton (shoulder) and Jordan Jenkins (shoulder/calf).

The 0-4 Jets are set to take on the 2-2 Cardinals this Sunday.
