On Tuesday, the New York Jets activated interior defender Foley Fatukasi from the Reserve/COVID-19 list and placed inside linebacker Harvey Langi on IR. Considering the late date of the IR move, Langi’s season is over.

The 1-13 Jets earned their first victory of the season this past Sunday in Los Angeles without Fatukasi’s services. The run-stuffing interior monster (ranked eighth among all interior defenders via PFF with a 86.2 grade) missed the Rams game due to COVID-19 protocols.
Fatukasi was placed on the COVID-19 list due to outside contact with an individual who could have been exposed to the disease. New York will get his services back for this Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns, the home finale at MetLife Stadium.
Langi is dealing with a neck injury he sustained in Los Angeles, yet he played every defensive snap for Frank Bush. The veteran who’s dealt with his fair share of adversity has been a pleasant surprise for the Jets this season. Without bodies at the position, the edge player made the tough transition to the second level with relative ease.
Langi currently has a fumble recovery, a pass defended and 60 total tackles (37 solo) in 14 games this season (six games started). Fatukasi, the man ready to return, has tallied two sacks, five tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, two passes defended, a forced fumble and 37 total tackles (19 solo).
The Jets are slated to take on Baker Mayfield‘s Cleveland Browns this Sunday at MetLife.
