Several familiar faces will have new numerals to work with as the New York Jets unveiled some fresh digits this week.

The New York Jets announced that several returning players will be donning new uniform numbers this season.

No. 5 Mike White

Currently on pace to compete for the Jets’ backup quarterback job, White inherits the number from the Philadelphia-bound Joe Flacco.

Notable Previous Wearers: K Pat Leahy

No. 14 D.J. Montgomery

The Jets wasted no time in redistributing Sam Darnold’s old jersey, as Montgomery takes a number normally reserved for New York passers.

Notable Previous Wearers: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB Sam Darnold, QB Richard Todd, WR Jeremy Kerley

No. 15 Lawrence Cager

Cager gets to reclaim his college number from Georgia with Chris Hogan gone.

Notable Previous Wearers: WR Brandon Marshall, QB Josh McCown

No. 21 Ashtyn Davis

Davis was unable to get his college digits back (27), now worn by fellow defender Corey Ballentine, but he brings No. 21 back to the defensive side with Frank Gore no longer with the team.

Notable Previous Wearers: CB Victor Green, RB Clark Gaines, RB LaDainian Tomlinson

No. 70 Chuma Edoga

Trojan eyes smile upon this transaction, as Edoga reverts to the No. 70 he wore at USC, a move necessitated by fellow Los Angeles-based blocker Alijah Vera-Tucker getting the No. 75 he likewise displayed in red and yellow.

Notable Previous Wearers: DE Mike DeVito

No. 86 Ryan Griffin

Griffin had worn No. 84 since his 2013 entry with Houston but moved up two digits so touted newcomer Corey Davis could lay claim to it.

Notable Previous Wearers: DE Verlon Biggs, TE Johnny Mitchell, TE Chris Baker

No. 93 Kyle Phillips

As the Jets prepare to welcome back undrafted free agency standout Phillips for what they hope is a full year, he’ll bear a new number, with the change brought upon by the arrival of fellow defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins.

Notable Previous Wearers: DL Marty Lyons
