A combination of pandemic fatigue and hope for the coming season likely brought New York Jets fans out in virtual droves.

The New York Jets‘ first sellout crowd will come over a month before Week 1 of the 2021 season.

The team announced on Thursday that all free tickets available for the seven open practices (July 31 and August 2, 4, 9, 11, 24 and 25) in Florham Park have been claimed, disappearing less than 24 hours after going on sale on Wednesday. That slate includes the pair of joint practices with the Philadelphia Eagles on the two latter-most dates, shortly before each team wraps its preseason ledger in East Rutherford.

A limited number of tickets for the Green & White Practice at MetLife on August 7 are still available and can be obtained here.

With teams across the NFL opening their training camps to observers this summer, fans are taking full advantage after missing out on last year’s activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jets fans are also no doubt inspired by an offseason that welcomed in several touted newcomers, including Zach Wilson and Elijah Moore from the draft, free agency pickups like Corey Davis and Carl Lawson, and a new coaching staff headed by Robert Saleh.

Team owner Woody Johnson acknowledged the sellout in a Thursday tweet while the Jets’ account thanked fans for their efforts with a GIF of offensive lineman Mekhi Becton flexing.

Becton himself sang the fans’ praises in a quote tweet.

“Jets Nation y’all hard for this,” Becton said, accompanying his post with a series of crying emojis. “LOVE YALL!!!!”
