NY Jets cornerback Bryce Hall is a father
New York Jets cornerback Bryce Hall and his fiancé Anzel Viljoen weren’t going to let Gang Green’s offseason end without one more acquisition.
The Virginia Cavalier couple welcomed their first child over the weekend, a daughter named Eden Nadine. Hall shared the news on his Instagram feed, where he received congratulations from the Jets and several former teammates, including former teammate Arthur Maulet, who refers to Hall as “Lil Bro.”

“Our little treasure from heaven has arrived,” Hall announced in his caption accompanying a series of photos of Eden.
Hall, 23, joined the Jets as a fifth-round pick (158th overall) during last year’s virtual draft. He is expected to work in one of the Jets’ primary cornerback roles alongside Bless Austin this season. Over eight games in his rookie season, Hall earned 36 tackles and an interception.
Shortly after the Jets welcomed him to the league, Hall went viral for his post-draft proposal to Viljoen. The two met at UVA, where Hall played football for the Cavs’ storied football program while the New Zealand-born Viljoen was the leading scorer on Charlottesville’s field hockey team.
Hall is looking to build upon a rookie season in which he was one of the better rookie cornerbacks in the league. He earned a coverage grade of 62.8 at Pro Football Focus, which ranked fourth-best among qualified rookie corners (minimum 250 snaps played in coverage).

The young corner wasted no time getting back on the field to put in work, participating in Monday’s practice and impressing those in attendance with tight coverage against Elijah Moore.
