New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles fans were treated to a preseason classic to close out the 2021 exhibition season.

In a game that featured atrocious defense on both sides from start to finish, James Morgan led a game-tying drive as time expired in the fourth quarter on the strength of a Hail Mary touchdown pass to Kenny Yeboah followed by a two-point conversion from Josh Adams. New York came back from a 21-10 halftime deficit to claim the 31-31 tie.

Josh Johnson got the start at quarterback for the Jets and played well. He completed 7 of 8 passes for 71 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions.

Morgan followed Johnson and struggled for the most part. His accuracy was wildly erratic as he completed 13 of 23 passes for 158 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The box score oversells his performance due to the 49-yard Hail Mary in the fourth quarter.

The Jets close out their 2021 preseason schedule with a record of 2-0-1. They will next take the field in Carolina on Sept. 12 for their regular season opener.
