New York Jets legend Wayne Chrebet breaks down Drake London and discusses the Tyreek Hill trade on the latest edition of The Underdog Jets Podcast.
Well, it was fun while it lasted. The entirety of an hour and change that had New York Jets fans giddy with Tyreek Hill fantasies surely was fun, but, classically, it didn’t last.
Despite the very real reports that had Joe Douglas swinging for the fences, Hill was never going to opt to come to the Northeast. Instead, he decided to head to his offseason home state, Florida, to join the Miami Dolphins.
What does this mean for the Jets as they prepare for the 2022 NFL draft? Well, for one, an AFC East rival has severely improved. But more importantly, a need at wide receiver is still desperately obvious.
Although New York re-signed Braxton Berrios, more firepower is required. Berrios in the slot with Elijah Moore and Corey Davis out wide is a nice start, but Zach Wilson needs much more.
Could Drake London be that guy?
Jets legend Wayne Chrebet offers up his thoughts on the Jets’ miss of Tyreek Hill, as well as Drake London as a prospect. Is London Chrebet’s top weapon in the draft? Or, could it be Ohio State’s Garrett Wilson that has his eye?
Also, what does No. 80 think of Tyreek Hill taking his talents to South Beach, and the idea that Douglas was in it to win it—as it relates to this veteran wideout?
The Underdog Jets Podcast goes live at 8 p.m. ET on Monday night, April 4, 2022, to answer those questions and much more. Join the party on YouTube and ask Wayne Chrebet any question you’d like.
