A.J. Brown, a man rumored to be a New York Jets trade target, heads to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Tennessee Titans are trading star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported Thursday.

In return for the 24-year-old standout, the Titans received Philadelphia’s No. 18 pick, as well as a third-rounder.

With the trade, Brown also gets a massive contract extension, valued at $100 million over four years ($57 million guaranteed). It’s unclear whether the New York Jets would have been willing to give up this package, but it’s safe to assume Elijah Moore, Brown’s former college roommate, is probably a bit disappointed.

The glass-half-full view on the situation is that Gang Green has Garrett Wilson on a rookie contract thanks to their 10th overall selection, as opposed to the oft-injured Brown on a massive deal.

Brown is, of course, the more proven of the two, as he’s produced at a high level in the NFL. But seeing as there’s no changing the situation and that Wilson could very well end up being the better player anyway, it’s more beneficial for everyone to just embrace the newest Jet and be excited about his potential.

It is NFL draft night, after all.

Brown joins 2021 first-round pick DeVonta Smith in a receiving room that has been in much need of a boost. He will surely provide that.
