New York Jets wide receiver Braxton Berrios jokingly says he is “unbothered” over his Madden NFL strength rating
Ratings are beginning to pour out for “Madden NFL 23”, which means it’s time for the football world to lose its collective mind arguing over 0-to-99 numbers concocted by a group of video game developers.
New York Jets wide receiver Braxton Berrios is the proud owner of one of the best responses from the early portion of Madden season.
Berrios was presented by Madden with a 53 rating for “Strength”, which is very low. The North Carolina native took to Instagram to say that Madden “is just a game” and that he is “unbothered”.
“[Madden] has me as a 53 strength but I’m not bothered by it or really even care,” Berrios wrote. “Being as strong as an average teenager is cool plus I don’t look at that stuff anyway, it’s just a game. So yeah like I said, unbothered.”
But just to make sure the Madden ratings adjustors know how badly they missed the mark, Berrios paired his caption with a couple of photos with the perfect lighting to capture the fifth-year wide receiver’s physique.

The hilarious tongue-in-cheek post drew some equally funny responses from Berrios’s teammates.
“What even is a Madden?”, Mike White responded.
Dan Feeney won the comment section.
“I think better lighting could have been found. Lookin a little chubby”, Feeney replied.
Fans can pick up Madden NFL 23 and manually increase Berrios’s strength rating to a more accurate number when it releases on August 19.
