You can help decide which uniform the New York Jets will wear
It seems as if New York Jets fans spend more time discussing uniforms than any other NFL fanbase (I may be partially responsible for that, as I talk about the uniforms way too much).
The franchise is embracing its fanbase’s passion for fashion. On Friday afternoon, the Jets’ official Twitter account posted a poll that asked fans to vote on what color pants they think the team should wear with its white jerseys when they travel to Minnesota on Sunday.

The Jets made sure to let fans know that they need to have their votes in by 11:30 a.m. ET.

As of the time of this writing (9:03 a.m. ET), the black pants are in the lead at 46.1%. The white pants are in a distant second place at 28.3% while the green pants are in third at 25.7%.
The Jets famously got off to a 5-0 start when wearing white-on-black this season. That streak was snapped in the Jets’ 10-3 loss to New England a couple of weeks ago. Despite the loss, it seems fans still believe in the good mojo associated with the black pants.
New York has worn black pants in eight consecutive games – six with white jerseys and two with black jerseys. The Jets have not worn white pants since donning a white-on-white look in each of the first three games of the season, a stretch in which they went 1-2 under Joe Flacco.
We have yet to see the Jets wear green pants this season. They haven’t even worn their green jerseys. The Jets only have two home games remaining, and one of those (vs. Jacksonville) is scheduled to be an all-black game, so there is a realistic chance that the Jets go the entire season without wearing green jerseys or green pants.

I don’t do Twitter. Will someone please vote GREEN for me! Those black pants are AWFUL!! And, the all black uniforms are just copying everyone else. The signature is the Green jerseys with White pants. Being we can’t wear the green jerseys, get back to who we are with White on Green pants!!

You are 100% correct, the use of the black is OUT OF CONTROL. We are 11 games in and haven’t worn the green jerseys ONCE but have worn the black jerseys TWICE! It’s too much trying to be like everyone else…way too much. It’s nice they are letting people vote on twitter but that serves only one demographic of fans.
All of that said, I don’t like the green pants, I prefer the black to the green (although green is my favorite color) haha. My favorite is the white on white, and since they have worn the black pants ad nauseam they should be wearing the white this week.
The last time they wore the white on black was that disaster in NE.
To me those green pants are associated with losing. Never wear them again from my pov. I’d love to see the green Jersey with black pants combo at some point.
I’m sorry, but that’s an awful take. It’s childish, ignorant and superstitious. It wasn’t the green that caused them to lose all those years. It was incompetent owners, GMs, HCs, CSs, and lousy players. I’ve been a Jets fan since 1964, and unless you’ve been a fan for that long, you have nothing to complain about with regards to the losing.
Thank you. I couldn’t possibly agree more. I despise the black unis. I think they’re passé and moronic. If the players are that stupid that they think they have to have black unis to play tough football, then they aren’t the right players for the Jets, and I will be unable to root for them.
