NY Jets quarterback Mike White is day-to-day

It appears New York Jets fans can breathe a sigh of relief. After quarterback Mike White absorbed a boatload of bone-shattering hits in Buffalo on Sunday, it appears White is trending in a positive direction. On Monday, head coach Robert Saleh labeled White as “day-to-day”, and the Jets are preparing for him to play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Saleh says White went to the hospital after the game to get a CT scan to ensure he could fly home with the team.

Saleh sounded very optimistic about White when asked if he hopes to have him on Sunday. “We’re preparing as if we have him,” Saleh said.

White himself says he feels “ready to roll”.

In other news, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was also labeled as day-to-day, although there is less certainty with Williams than White. Saleh labeled Williams as “50-50” at the moment regarding his availability for Sunday. Williams left the Buffalo game with a calf injury.

Wide receiver Corey Davis, who left in Buffalo after taking a knee to the head, is in the concussion protocol. Saleh says he was “feeling really good today”.

Cornerback Brandin Echols (quad) and linebacker Marcell Harris (ankle) are already ruled out for Sunday.
