The best of the best might want to take Sauce down a notch or two

Well, no one ever said that New York Jets CB Sauce Gardner lacks confidence. No, sir.

It was fairly obvious from the predraft talk when he boldly proclaimed himself the best prospect in the draft.

It only became more so throughout the season. Although Sauce did not get into it with specific players on Twitter, unlike a certain soon-to-be-Hall-of-Famer who shall not be named, he made clear how important the accolades are to him.

Now, on the cusp of likely sweeping his rookie dreams—Pro Bowler, first-team All-Pro, and Defensive Rookie of the Year—Sauce found himself in Vegas with people who like to take rookies down a peg or two.

And so, they set about it in the classic NFL way: a prank.

In this case, it was Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick doing the honors, or, as Sauce said, “doing me dirty.”

An empty water bottle is an innocuous way of telling Sauce that he’s still a rookie. But Sauce has the last laugh, as he’s set to star in a Super Bowl commercial and make his face known on the international stage.

Keep performing like this on the field, Sauce, and you’ll have the last laugh on the whole NFL for eternity.

I know this is a light-hearted “puff” piece, but someone (Saleh?) really needs to sit our young guys down and tell them to chill w/ the social media.
