We have our first confirmed game on the New York Jets’ 2023 schedule, and it’s a historic one

The NFL will not officially release its full schedule until Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET, but here on Wednesday, the league has been announcing some of its most notable games on the 2023 schedule.

One of those games involves the New York Jets. Aaron Rodgers and the boys in green will host the Miami Dolphins on Black Friday (Nov. 24, 3 p.m. ET), marking the NFL’s first-ever Black Friday game.

The game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime.

It’s fitting that the Jets participate in this historic event, as back on September 21, 1970, they participated in the first-ever Monday Night Football game alongside the Cleveland Browns.

This figures to be one of many nationally-televised games on the Jets’ 2023 schedule. With Rodgers in town, the Jets are expected to be a highly coveted attraction. This is especially true considering how many intriguing matchups are on the Jets’ schedule this year, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants in addition to three tantalizing matchups within the division.

The Jets are hoping to repeat the success of last year’s MetLife Stadium battle against the Dolphins, which culminated in a 40-17 victory for the home team. Granted, the Dolphins were on their third-string quarterback (Skylar Thompson), but it was still one of the most dominant performances by New York in recent memory.

Miami evened the season series with a Week 18 victory in Florida to clinch a playoff spot. Joe Flacco started that game for the Jets.
