The New York Jets wide receiver will make a weekly appearance on ESPN radio throughout the 2023-24 season
With Aaron Rodgers in New York, the national media spotlight seems hyperfocused on the Jets. That can come with pressure and expectations, but can also provide plenty of opportunities for players to market themselves to the general public. Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson appears to be the latest beneficiary of Rodgers’ arrival.
During the 2023-24 season, Wilson will appear on a weekly segment on ESPN radio. The Offensive Rookie of the Year will recap the previous week’s game while also discussing the upcoming matchup. This segment will occur during the Bart and Hahn show, which airs weekdays from 12-3 p.m. EST.
Wilson seems excited for the feature and looks to provide Jets fans with great content throughout the season.
“It’s an awesome opportunity for me to share what my season is like week-to-week,” said Wilson. “We have a great fan base in New York, and they deserve the world. Hopefully I can talk about wins every week, but I’m just really excited to share my journey throughout the season.”
The feelings appear to be mutual, as ESPN New York’s General Manager Vinny DiMarco raved about the Jets’ star wide receiver and the opportunity for fans.
“We’re excited to have Garrett join Bart and Alan each week during football season,” said DiMarco. “He has already emerged as a star in the NFL, and we know he will bring great energy to the show each week, giving fans some exclusive and terrific insight about what’s happening on the field.”
The Jets’ wide receiver will look to build off of a spectacular rookie season that saw him catch 83 passes for 1103 yards and four touchdowns en route to the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, becoming the first winner in Jets’ history.
