Are new throwback uniforms coming for the New York Jets?

New York Jets fans have been clamoring for a taste of nostalgia in the form of a throwback uniform set for what seems like ages, basically ever since the team stopped using the iconic “Winged-J” logo and Kelly Green primary color in 1997.

According to a recently posted video sneakily taken at the Jets’ facility, that wait may finally be over. The video was shared earlier today in a since-deleted tweet.

Peaking out from large, black curtains on the other side of Gang Green’s indoor practice field stood Jets tight end C.J. Uzomah, wearing an all-white uniform that looks scarily similar to New York’s classic white threads of the 80s.

Is this concrete evidence of throwback uniforms coming soon, or just smoke and mirrors?
