New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a special gift for one ESPN analyst
It wasn’t long ago that the national media wanted Aaron Rodgers suspended for intentionally misleading the public about his personal medical status. Now, the script seems to be flipped. It’s only been a few months, but the New York Jets’ new quarterback has done plenty to win over the media and quell the rumors about his off-putting personality.
On Monday’s episode of ESPN’s Get Up, Rodgers gifted analyst Mike Greenberg a new Jets “Legacy White” throwback jersey, which was introduced on the same day. The former Mike & Mike co-host is a die-hard Jets fan and was visibly shocked when he received the gift during the segment.

“Let’s go! Let’s go!,” exclaimed Greeny. “Okay, this is one of the great days in the history of all days.”
The Jets will be wearing their legacy jerseys during their Week 1 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, and again in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.
Rodgers’ gift to Greeny is just the latest example of the quarterback’s thoughtfulness. The future Hall of Famer continues to prove he is a better man than the media has cast him as in previous years now that he’s a member of the Jets – and it’s been on display for all to see.
We’ve seen the 39-year-old send a welcome present to Green Bay Packers rookie QB Sean Clifford. There’s also plenty of evidence that Rodgers is a great teammate, from his countless off-field interactions with teammates to being gifted a custom piece of jewelry from teammate Sauce Gardner. Now, the future Hall of Famer is spreading the wealth once again.
For the Jets and Rodgers, the hope is that the good fortune of the offseason can be a sign of what’s to come for the group this year.
