Dalvin Cook appears to believe he will be a New York Jet
Free agent running back Dalvin Cook joined NFL Network’s Good Morning Football on Friday. With news surfacing on Thursday that he is scheduled to visit with the New York Jets this weekend, it was obvious that Cook would be peppered with questions about the team.
When asked by former NFL defensive back Jason McCourty what his odds are of joining the Jets, Cook didn’t dodge the question with a a cookie-cutter answer. He openly admitted that he believes the odds are “pretty high”.
“I think we’re in a position with a team that’s building something special, and I want to be a part of something special as a player. I wanna add to whatever they’ve got going on. So, I think the possibility is high right now, of getting things done.”

According to CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson, Cook’s visit is scheduled for Sunday but there is a possibility it could be moved up. Cook is already in the area, having flown to New York on Thursday to join Good Morning Football, which is filmed in Manhattan.
However, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Thursday morning that Cook is also in talks with the New England Patriots on setting up a visit. Fowler says both the Jets and Patriots have shown “steady interest” in Cook. That was two days ago, though, and nothing has surfaced about Cook visiting New England just yet.
Cook, a four-time Pro Bowler, will turn 28 years old on August 10.
I’ll say it again..Josh Jacobs will be available very soon and we should wait for that.
Jacobs is coming from a team that’s a mess and I feel would be a better fit, especially 3 years younger.
Cook may cause issues. If there’s any chance of getting Josh, it’s a much better move…even if it will cost a day 2 pick
