Randall Cobb scored his first touchdown with the New York Jets

The New York Jets-Houston Texans scoreless tie has been broken.

After an offensive slog of a game through two quarters, the Jets broke through with a touchdown to Randall Cobb to take a 7-0 lead.

The touchdown capped off a great drive from Zach Wilson and the offense. Wilson got outside the pocket and made plays off structure. Garrett Wilson was heavily targeted and helped the team move effectively down the field. It was arguably one of the team’s best drives on offense in the past few weeks.

Cobb’s first touchdown reception for the Jets comes amidst a difficult season for the veteran. He had just three catches for 20 yards coming into the game, posting a 25% catch percentage and 40% drop rate. Still, Cobb finally came through for a Jets offense still struggling mightily to find its footing.

With a 7-0 lead, the Jets may be able to put away a Texans team that has struggled so far with another few points.
