During his weekly “Pat McAfee Show” appearance, Aaron Rodgers revealed that he will not be returning in the 2023 season
Aaron Rodgers’s return for the New York Jets will have to wait.
Appearing on ESPN’s popular “Pat McAfee Show,” the quarterback revealed that he most likely will not be returning for the 2020 NFL season.
"I do feel like in the next three to four weeks it would be very possible to get to 100%..
If I was 100% today I'd definitely be pushing to play" ~ @AaronRodgers12 #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/aBSqWSquVY

While he said that he was able to do some “quarterback-center exchange” and worked with the running backs last week, Rodgers alluded to the fact that he was only pushing himself for a possible playoff run.
“I think the whole time, it’s been hoping that we are still in it because it was unrealistic to think that I would be at 100 percent to be cleared during the regular season. I do feel that, in the next three to four weeks, it would be very possible to get to 100 percent… If I was 100 percent, I’d definitely be pushing to play.”
It is not surprising to see Rodgers hold off on a return for this season, considering the Jets are eliminated from playoff contention and have no games of significance remaining.
As a result, Jets fans will have to wait until 2024 to see Rodgers in action, as he works to end the longest playoff drought in professional sports next season.
