Daniel Jeremiah’s mock draft would be a gift for New York Jets fans

In his final 2024 mock draft, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah – a former co-worker of Joe Douglas’ who tends to accurately predict the Jets’ picks – gave the New York Jets a pick that would likely receive rave reviews from the fanbase.

Jeremiah has the Jets staying put at No. 10 and selecting Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.

“I could see the Jets moving up a bit to secure Odunze, but he falls into their lap in this simulation. He’s a perfect fit for what they need. Aaron Rodgers would have a fantastic trio at receiver in Odunze, Garrett Wilson, and Mike Williams (once he’s healthy),” said Jeremiah.

If this scenario comes to pass, the Jets would be adding a potentially elite playmaker to their roster. Odunze has the contested catch ability and athleticism to be a force in the NFL. Combined with Garrett Wilson, Odunze would help to form one of the most dangerous duos in the league for years to come.

It is also intriguing that Jeremiah once again mentioned the possibility of the Jets moving up in the draft. He is the first one who floated the idea of the team moving up for a playmaker, mocking them to trade up for Marvin Harrison in March. With his close ties to Douglas, his mock draft choices draw many eyes.

Some rumors have indicated the Jets could seek to trade up for Odunze. If they were to land him at No. 10 without trading up, as Jeremiah predicts, the team would be ecstatic.
