The New York Jets’ fourth-round pick made good use of his NFL contract
One of the newest members of the New York Jets is already paying back those close to him.
After being selected by the team in the fourth round, running back Braelon Allen bought his mother a new car. In a video posted to his Instagram story, Allen said, “Had to get mama right,” with a heart emoji.

In a short amount of time, Allen has already embraced being a part of the Jets’ organization. He responded to a post from Jets X-Factor’s Joe Blewett, saying that he will “make sure A-Rod can play for 10 more years.”
He also shared an edit of himself in the team’s new black jersey, hinting that he will be wearing #0 in 2024.

Allen’s talents are very well-known on the field. Even as one of the youngest players in college football, the former Wisconsin running back constantly created yards after contact and kept his offense moving.
In the NFL, he will pair nicely with Breece Hall to form a downhill, attacking duo out of the backfield. With Allen’s potential as a pass blocker, the Jets’ backfield combination could allow them to not give defenses a break.
More important, though, is the fact that Allen seems to be continuing a trend of high-character players off the field for the Jets.
While not taking a snap for the team yet, the newly drafted running back is already proving to be a positive representative for the Jets off the field.
