Nick Mangold got the MSG crowd hyped with his sons
The playoff matchups keep coming in New York, and New York Jets players of past and present keep showing up.
Former Jets center Nick Mangold was in attendance for Game 2 of the New York Rangers’ playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes. Mangold was pictured chugging a drink alongside his two sons on the jumbotron during a break in the action.

The latest playoff event was another success for the home team. New York tied Carolina in the third period at 3-3 and proceeded to take the game into not one, but two overtimes. The Rangers secured a victory in the second overtime period with a Vincent Trocheck goal.
It was the third straight victorious day at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers won on Sunday afternoon and the Knicks pulled off a come-from-behind victory on Monday night.
The Garden has been Eden this postseason, and the massive successes should serve as an example of what the Jets’ home crowd could look like on a postseason run.
New York fans have shown up consistently for their teams at home and on the road. It has created an advantage that most sports teams lack.
If the Jets can realize the success their roster has the potential to achieve, MetLife Stadium could sound a lot like the Garden in the winter of 2024.
