It’s the week of mandatory minicamp, which means more injury updates for the New York Jets have arrived.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, head coach Robert Saleh said Breece Hall would not participate in practice. While the head coach said that the running back would be able to practice if it was a game week, he said that “there’s just no point” in pushing Hall now. Additionally, Saleh added that Hall’s absence would give rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis more opportunities.

Saleh also spoke about Morgan Moses and Alijah Vera-Tucker, saying that both offensive linemen are expected to be ready for the start of training camp. Regarding Mike Williams, Saleh said that he is on the “Breece Hall path” from last year, meaning that he will not be ready for the start of camp but is expected to be ready for the start of the season.

The updates for AVT, Moses, and Williams are not surprising in the slightest. They have been on a consistent path since the start of the offseason, and these updates only reinforce that.

For Hall, the news is more noteworthy than concerning. The Jets do not need to push their superstar running back, but it is worth noting that he has not participated in practices all offseason. As Saleh said, though, it will only allow players like Allen and Davis to make more of an impression.

Overall, there is nothing to be concerned with on the injury front for the Jets. It is still June, so these players have plenty of time to recover and be ready to roll for a critical 2024 season.
