In an interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, David Bakhtiari predicted the New York Jets to make the playoffs
One of Aaron Rodgers’s former teammates has confidence in the New York Jets this season.
In an interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former All-Pro offensive lineman David Bakhtiari said he believes the Jets will make the playoffs in 2024.
“I really hope the most for the guy. I know that his fire is burning really hard with the Jets, especially with what happened to him… I’m expecting big things from him,” Bakhtiari said.
“I’m expecting him to put a lot on his shoulders and right the ship. I think for sure they will make the playoffs….I don’t think it’s wise for any betting man to say that Aaron Rodgers isn’t going to make the playoffs.”
It makes sense that the veteran offensive has confidence in his former quarterback. Bahktiari was a crucial aspect of Green Bay’s success when Rodgers was there, keeping the quarterback upright in his MVP seasons.
Regarding his comments on the Jets, the offensive lineman is correct in his assessment. Rodgers will need to put a lot on his shoulders to help the Jets’ offense be productive. He must elevate a team that has not had playoff success in a long time.
Luckily for New York, Rodgers is more than capable of achieving those goals. He did it in Green Bay and arguably has a better roster around him with the Jets. It all comes down to staying healthy and on the field.
The Jets will need a lot to break right for them in 2024, which has not happened in years past. But if Bahktiair’s comments are any indication, the Jets have the right man to lead the ship in Aaron Rodgers.
