New York Jets fans are viewed as some of the NFL’s best
One media analyst has high praise for fans of the New York Jets.
In her list of the best fanbases in the NFL, ESPN radio host Michelle Smallmon ranked Jets fans as the fifth-best in the NFL. They landed one spot behind their division-rival Buffalo Bills, who checked in at No. 4. Taking the top three spots were the fanbases of the Steelers, Eagles, and Packers.

Some may view the Jets as a great fanbase, such as Smallmon. Others may see them as an annoying fanbase that has too much confidence.
Regardless of where you fall on that spectrum, the Jets undoubtedly have one of the most passionate and dedicated fanbases in football. They are massively optimistic every season and show up for games in droves once the calendar turns to September. They have strong takes and opinions derived from a place of passion and wanting their team to succeed.
Even in the face of the longest playoff drought in North American sports, Jets fans always keep their passion and cheer on their team. It is why, objectively, they deserve a spot on any ranking of the best fanbases in football.
With a great roster on paper, the Jets have the potential to make a run toward the playoffs in 2024. They have a chance to end the playoff drought that has plagued them for over a decade.
A playoff run would be well-deserved for a fanbase that has had its hopes crushed year after year. It would finally reward the passion and dedication Jets fans have continuously shown.
