On Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Davante Adams commented on the New York Jets rumors
Davante Adams has addressed the trade rumors surrounding him.
In an interview on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast “Club Shay Shay,” Adams discussed the possibility of reuniting with Aaron Rodgers and joining the New York Jets. Adams didn’t necessarily shut down the rumors.
“I’ll answer like this: If I’m going to be reunited with anyone, it would be Aaron. If I were to be relocated anywhere, it would be with Aaron. ”
Later in the episode, Adams added that the trade talks are not up to him and that he is happy with the Raiders’ organization.

The full scope of how the Adams situation might play out is becoming clearer.
The star wide receiver has made it known that he would love to play with Rodgers again. Rodgers, Breece Hall, and Garrett Wilson have made it known that they want Adams in New York. However, Adams has constantly reiterated that he would like to remain in Las Vegas, and the Raiders do not seem interested in entertaining trade talks at the moment.
The situation can essentially be laid out like this: If the Jets are competitive while the Raiders are struggling, trade talks could ignite during the regular season, creating the possibility of Adams ending up in the Big Apple. The same could be said if the Jets and Raiders both struggle, as New York could make a desperate play to upgrade their offense.
On the other hand, the Raiders will likely hold on to Adams if they are competitive, regardless of the Jets’ place in the standings.
The cards have been laid out. How the first half of the regular season shakes out will ultimately dictate the colors Adams wears for the stretch run of the 2024 season.
