Unlike previous seasons, the Jets will not have any negotiations for their draft class that drag into training camp. It will allow the rookies to hit the ground running, learn the playbook, and be ready to contribute to a team in a winning window.
Corley has a chance to play one of the most significant roles among the Jets’ rookie class. He brings massive potential as a ball carrier, having the ability to make any tackler miss in the open field. Additionally, he has shown some prowess as a route runner and could take another leap at the NFL level.
Regarding the Jets’ offense, Corley is a great compliment to Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams. If the outside receivers play to their talent level, Corley should have plenty of room to do damage in the middle of the field.
With the rookie class situated, the Jets will likely turn their attention to Haason Reddick’s contract situation. It is the last remaining contract-related issue for the team in 2024.
New York is in a position to compete and contend this season. They have a vastly improved offense and one of the best defenses in the NFL. And by addressing most of their contract situations, the Jets have worked to eliminate distractions before training camp starts.
