“What I believe he wants to do is to continue to ball out here and build something special with this team,” Adams said of Wilson. “He’s a special player, and I love having the opportunity to play with him. I love having the opportunity to help him and watch him grow. He’s light years ahead of where I was at that point in my career. The sky is the limit for him.”
In terms of long-term prospects, Adams should be a great asset to Wilson. The former Ohio State Buckeye shares some similarities to Adams, especially at the beginning of his career in Green Bay.
Adams can assist Wilson in developing the nuances of playing wideout. In addition, he can help the third-year receiver develop an upper-level mindset and good habits.
In the present, Adams and Wilson are paramount for the Jets to turn around their season. Without the duo playing at an elite level, the Jets will have no chance to win multiple games in a row. They need their star players to provide star impact for the offense to have a chance of being a solid unit.
Adams is extremely important to Garrett Wilson’s future. But now, he and Wilson must be crucial assets to the team’s present.
