Mike Williams is thankful to be on a contender instead of the New York Jets.
The former Jets wide receiver took a poke at Aaron Rodgers on Instagram after catching the game-winning touchdown to allow the Steelers to edge the Commanders, 28-27.

The hashtag “RedLine” refers to Rodgers’ public criticism of Williams. After Rodgers threw a game-sealing interception against the Bills on a target to Williams, he told the media that Williams ran his route inside instead of running down the “red line,” referring to the line the Jets have drawn on the practice field to aid receivers with route running. Williams’ game-winning touchdown catch in his Pittsburgh debut was on the red line.
So the season goes for the Jets. Every single move they made this season went awry. Whether Williams goes on to be productive for the Steelers or not in the remainder of the season, the fact is that he has already produced more in Pittsburgh than he ever did with the Jets.
Rodgers walked right into that trolling, too. His deflection of accountability in calling out Williams to the media met with a definitive response on the field. For all of Rodgers’ bluster before and during the season, it’s those he discarded having the last laugh.
The Jets will need to swallow the bitter pill of trolling even as they swallow the bitter pill of defeat.
