Guess who’s back?

The New York Jets are returning the reins at kicker to an old friend in Week 17. At his Friday press conference, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said that kicker Greg Zuerlein will be the team’s kicker this weekend against the Buffalo Bills.

“Greg’s going to kick for us, so he came back, looked healthy, kicked
the ball well this week, so he’ll be our guy going forward here,” said Ulbrich.

Ulbrich also spoke about whether he thought the veteran kicker needed a mental reset after his early season struggles.

“I think sometimes that can be powerful, an opportunity just to take a deep breath, get his body healthy again, and get a restart, so I’m excited for him to do his thing these last two games and really demonstrate to everybody who he is as a kicker.”

Additionally, Ulbrich said that Quinnen Williams, Davante Adams, and Sauce Gardner will be questionable for Sunday.

“Sauce (Gardner) is questionable, guys. He went out there today and gave it a try, we’ll see. If anybody would play with an injury and push, it’s him, and then Davante (Adams) went out there today in a limited fashion. I thought he looked good,” said Ulbrich.

“Quinnen is another one that he’s in that same boat of Davante and Sauce. If he can play, he will play. He went out there today for the first time and really gave it a try, so I’ll talk with Zuff (head athletic trainer David Zuffelato) today; we’ll collect as much information as we can and make a decision.”

The Jets will need all the help they can get as 10-point road underdogs against the 12-3 Buffalo Bills, who will attempt to clinch the AFC’s No. 2 seed with a win on Sunday.
