Which prospects could the New York Jets potentially select in a trade-back scenario?
Many Jets fans are intrigued by the idea of Gang Green trading down in the 2025 NFL draft to acquire more draft capital, though few have pinpointed a specific target in a potential move back.
However, Devin Jackson of the Philadelphia Inquirer told me on “NY Flight Jets Talk” that he has heard the Jets “seem to like and have been interested in” a particular wide receiver prospect as a target in a trade-back scenario.
“Tet McMillian might be an option in a trade back for the Jets, another pass-catcher, big-bodied receiver who can play opposite Garrett Wilson, and he is a guy the Jets seem to like and have been interested in, from what I have heard,” said Jackson.
McMillian kicked off his college career with Arizona State in 2022. He started eight of the team’s 12 games, racking up 702 yards and eight touchdowns on 39 receptions.
His breakout season came in 2023, starting all of the Wildcats’ 13 games and recording 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns on 90 receptions.
In 2024, the Biletnikoff Award Finalist tallied 84 catches in 12 games for 1,316 yards and eight touchdowns.
McMillian finished his collegiate career as Arizona’s all-time leader in receiving yards with 3,423.
In 2024, the five-star recruit converted 60% of his contested catch opportunities, maximizing his 6-foot-4, 219-pound frame.
Ranked No. 11 overall on NFL Mock Draft Database’s consensus big board, McMillan could help fill the Jets’ need for a No. 2 wide receiver, offering a big frame and a reliable option to line up opposite Garrett Wilson.
