Even in retirement, Tom Brady knows how to rile up New York Jets fans.
In a video posted to X, Brady was seen spitting on a Jets jersey during Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center in New York City.
The moment occurred during a stage appearance where Brady, one of the event’s headline guests, was handed a Jets jersey and responded by spitting on it.
Fanatics Fest, a three-day sports and collectibles convention, brought together athletes, celebrities, and fans for panels, memorabilia signings, and live events. Brady appeared alongside other notable sports figures during the weekend event.
During his 23-year NFL career, Brady tortured fans continuously, which firmly plants him among the Jets’ all-time greatest rivals.
He finished with a 31-8 record against the Jets, including a 30-7 mark in the regular season and a 1-1 record in the playoffs. He spent 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring following the 2022 season.
Throughout his NFL career, Brady started 333 games, completing 64.3% of his passes for 89,214 yards, 649 touchdowns, and 212 interceptions while winning seven Super Bowls and securing three MVP awards.
Brady is currently serving as an on-air NFL analyst for FOX Sports, working with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt, and called the 2025 Super Bowl. The 23-year NFL veteran is also currently a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brady’s playing days might be over, but his presence still lingers. From the broadcast booth to events like Fanatics Fest, he continues to find new ways to provoke Jets fans long after hanging up his cleats.
Oh yeah, by the way, New York Jets fans … Tom Brady also stomped on the jersey for good measure. Discuss what you will among yourselves.
