The New York Jets are trying to avoid a crushing 0-4 start to open their 2025 season. To do so, theyโ€™ll have to snap their skid against the division-rival Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

The Miami Dolphins boast one of the leagueโ€™s fastest offenses, led by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and playmakers Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Deโ€™Von Achane. Miami has won nine of their last ten meetings at home against New York.

Can the Jets secure a primetime victory in South Florida and finally get in the win column?

Here is a look at the inactive list for Gang Green tonight.

Jets Inactive List (0-3)

  • EDGE Jermaine Johnson
  • WR Tyler Johnson
  • CB Jarvis Brownlee
  • RB/WR Kene Nwangwu
  • OT Esa Pole
  • TE Jelani Woods
  • DT Leonard Taylor III

Defensive end Jermaine Johnson, running back Kene Nwangwu, and cornerback Brownlee Jr. were all listed with injuries heading into Monday night, so their absence comes as little surprise.

Among the healthy scratches, offensive lineman Esa Pole is inactive for the fourth straight week. Tight end Jelani Woods also remains a healthy scratch, an interesting decision given Miamiโ€™s vulnerability against tight ends. Tonight’s game could have been a perfect opportunity for Woods to carve out a role.

The more notable omissions are wide receiver Johnson and defensive lineman Taylor III. Johnson had contributed steadily through three weeks with four catches for 63 yards, while Taylor impressed last week against Tampa Bay with a key run stop and a 66.5 defensive grade from Pro Football Focus.

Quarterback Justin Fields will return to the starting lineup after missing last weekโ€™s game, while safety Tony Adams is also back from a one-game absence. Wide receiver Josh Reynolds and defensive tackle Jay Tufele are active for the second time this season after dealing with injuries.
