Things aren’t going well for the New York Jets this season. An 0-6 mark to kick off the Aaron Glenn era has plenty of people concerned over whether the current regime can ever figure things out.
Sunday’s contest against the Carolina Panthers is a good opportunity for the team to show they can get in the win column once and for all.
To do so, they’ll have to put up points without their top offensive weapon. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson is out for Sunday’s contest with a knee injury he suffered in last week’s loss overseas to the Denver Broncos.
Who else is set to miss Week 7 between Gang Green and Carolina? The full list has just been announced.
Jets Inactive List
- WR Garrett Wilson
- CB Michael Carter II
- LB Cam Jones
- CB Qwan’tez Stiggers
- OT Esa Pole
- TE Jelani Woods
- DL Tyler Baron
Notes
- Outside of Wilson, the Jets have plenty of questions at wide receiver. No wideout currently has over eight receptions or over 100 yards on the season. Arian Smith, Josh Reynolds, and Tyler Johnson are set to be the main players this week.
- With Carter out for Sunday’s contest with a concussion, Jarvis Brownlee will be back as the starting slot corner. Brownlee forced the team’s only turnover of the season against Denver and was one of the team’s highest-rated players.
- Stiggers and Jones are quality special teamers and will be out for Sunday’s slate.
Panthers Inactive List
- WR Hunter Renfrow
- RB DeeJay Dallas
- OG Damien Lewis
- TE James Mitchell
- DT Cam Jackson
- DT Jaden Crumedy
Notes
- Wide receiver Jalen Coker and running back Chuba Hubbard are back for Carolina on Sunday. This is the healthiest game Carolina has played on offense in weeks, outside of guard Damien Lewis.
- Carolina will be running out their sixth different offensive line combination going into Sunday.
- Defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton is back after missing the last few weeks as well.
