Justin Fields takes a massive hit (wants to sell it but quickly hears the elephant footsteps), and kudos to Membou for getting his QB's back … pic.twitter.com/yrKHAyXJGu

New York Jets rookie right tackle Armand Membou wasted no time standing up for his quarterback.
After Justin Fields slid to the turf on a third-and-2 designed run near midfield, Carolina Panthers safety Nick Scott delivered a late hit that drew a 15-yard penalty, and an immediate response from Membou. The rookie lineman charged in and drilled Scott while he was on the ground, sparking a brief scuffle between the two teams.
The play had started positively for New York, as Fields had picked up the first down before the hit, and the unnecessary roughness penalty gave the Jets an additional 15 yards.
Fields exited the game afterward, and Tyrod Taylor entered to lead the Jets into field-goal range. Nick Folk capped the drive with a 24-yard kick to tie the game at three.
