With the New York Jets possessing a league-worst 0-7 record, team owner Woody Johnson has made his first comments on the team since the start of the 2025 season.

It’s safe to say Woody Johnson isn’t a member of the Justin Fields Fan Club.

Speaking to members of the media at the NFL meeting, Johnson said about his team, “I see what you see. But I see more hope than you do,” according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Johnson stated that head coach Aaron Glenn has turned around “parts” of the team.

“He’s turning around parts of it,” Johnson said of Glenn. “It’s hard when you have a quarterback with a rating that he’s got. He has the ability, but something is just not jibing. If you look at any head coach with a quarterback like that, you’re going to see similar results.”

Johnson sent a direct message to Jets fans, saying that true Jets fans should know what’s going on because they’ve “been at it for a long time.”

“If they’re a true Jets fan, that’s not a question you ask. They’ve been at it for a long time. They know exactly what’s going on. I think they’re the smartest fans in the world because they know what’s going on.”

Johnson reaffirmed his belief in the first-year head coach, stating, “I do believe in Aaron,” according to Zack Rosenblatt.

“The offense is just not clicking,” Johnson said. “You can’t run the ball if you can’t pass the ball.”

Johnson thinks Glenn is connecting with his locker room.

“If I were a player, I’d respond to him,” Johnson said of Glenn. “There’s no BS, there’s no agendas.”

“Keep the faith” is Johnson’s message to the former Pro Bowl cornerback.

Other notable comments from Johnson include that he hugs Aaron Glenn every day and “never looks back” regarding the decision to part ways with Aaron Rodgers.
