New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn kept his quarterback decision under wraps until game day.

According to ESPNโ€™s Adam Schefter, Justin Fields is expected to start at quarterback for Gang Green on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Through seven starts this season, the Ohio State product has led New York to a 1-6 record while completing 64% of his passing attempts for 1,089 yards and five touchdowns.

On the ground, Fields has picked up 288 yards on the ground coupled with three touchdowns throughout 53 attempts.

While Glenn declined to reveal the teamโ€™s starter to reporters, it was widely expected that Fields would retain the job coming out of the bye week following the Jetsโ€™ thrilling 39-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, when he threw for 244 yards and a touchdown while completing 66% of his passes.

“You know I’m not gonna give you that answer,” Glenn said during the week. “You’ll find out soon who our starting quarterback will be. Justin did a hell of a job against Cincinnati, but you know I’m gonna keep that close to the vest.”

As the Jets look to start the second half of their regular season with a victory, Fields will remain as the team’s starting quarterback.
