New York Jets fans have seen a lot of mock drafts at this point.
But they definitely have not seen one quite like this.
Acclaimed draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network published his mock draft 3.0 on Tuesday, coming in the wake of free agency. One of his projections for New York is sure to cause a stir in Jetsland.

Jeremiah’s Arvell Reese prediction at No. 2 is the status quo at this point. Per the latest consensus mock draft, a shockingly high percentage of people are mocking Reese to the Jets in that slot.
At No. 16, though, Jeremiah has the Jets taking a player who seldom appears in first-round mock drafts at all, let alone in the 16th slot: Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr.
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Cooper is the No. 32 overall prospect on the consensus big board, including the No. 6 wide receiver. Jeremiah’s mock draft has the Jets taking Cooper over two wideouts who are ranked higher on the consensus big board: Washington’s Denzel Boston (No. 25) and Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion (No. 28).
Standing six feet and 190 pounds, Cooper impressed at the combine with a 4.42 time in the forty-yard dash and a 37-inch vertical jump.
Across 16 games in his 2025 senior season at Indiana, Cooper racked up 69 receptions for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns, adding three carries for 74 yards and a touchdown.
