There is a long time between the end of one NFL season and the start of the next, leaving fans to nibble on breadcrumbs of on-field action for over half of the year.

Garrett Wilson just gave New York Jets fans a uniquely delectable breadcrumb, reminding the world of how ridiculously talented he is.

In an OTAs clip shared by the Jets’ official social media account, Wilson effortlessly grabs a pass out of the air with the palm of his hand, using no assistance from his body or his other hand, as if it were a tennis ball. The clip is keeping Jets fans on social media fed, as it has been viewed over 186,000 times as of this writing.

Wilson’s value to the Jets has recently been highlighted by some of the lucrative deals being signed by wide receivers around the league.

On Thursday, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson signed a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension, making him the 11th-highest paid wide receiver in the NFL, just five spots behind Wilson ($130 million). Yet, Wilson has 1,380 more career yards (3,644 to 2,264) and 84 more first downs (181 to 97) in the same number of NFL seasons (four).

The Jets are used to seeing Wilson make one-handed catches like the one he made in New York’s recent OTA session. From his 2023 season-opener catch against Buffalo to the Halloween “Jordan” catch against Houston, Wilson is a maestro at the one-hander, and he is keeping fans reminded of that fact in June.
