The New York Jets’ wardrobe continues to grow.
On Wednesday, one week ahead of the start of training camp, the team’s official social media accounts unveiled a new alternate helmet and uniform.
The helmet features a white shell with a single chrome green stripe down the middle, and the Jets’ current primary logo in chrome green on each side, with a white facemask. It is set to be paired with the Jets’ primary white jerseys and white pants in a “White Out” game for the team’s Week 2 home opener against the Green Bay Packers.
NFL teams are permitted to use three different helmet shells each season. Since the new helmet has the same white shell as the throwback helmet the Jets used in Week 18 last season, they can still use the throwback uniform in 2026, along with their all-black alternate and their “Rivalries” alternate.
Barring the decision to feature the black jersey or black pants in combinations, which the Jets have yet to do since they introduced black uniforms in 2019, New York is expected to have the following eight combinations at their disposal in 2026:
- Primary green helmet/primary green jersey/primary green pants
- Primary green helmet/primary green jersey/primary white pants
- Primary green helmet/primary white jersey/primary green pants
- Primary green helmet/primary white jersey/primary white pants
- Alternate white helmet/primary white jersey/primary white pants
- Alternate black helmet/alternate black jersey/alternate black pants
- Alternate white throwback helmet/throwback white jersey/throwback white pants
- “Rivalries” (available for four seasons after initial unveiling)
