With the NFL trade deadline set for Tuesday, the New York Jets are 2-6, and trade talk about their top players has taken center stage.

Among the most-mentioned players is running back Breece Hall, especially with Braelon Allen’s emergence over the past five games.

However, it doesn’t look like Hall will be on the move. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “despite interest and calls, the Jets have told teams that they don’t intend to trade Hall.”

This report confirms Aaron Glenn’s comments this week that Hall remains a big part of the Jets’ future, despite Allen’s coming-out party over the past few games. While Allen has been getting national recognition for his excellent showings, Hall was sidelined for five games with a quad injury.

Today, Hall returns against the Kansas City Chiefs in his first game back since going down in Week 3. Obviously, his workload will be a storyline to monitor, but regardless, it doesn’t look like he will be moved ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

At last year’s trade deadline, reports indicated the Jets’ best offer for Hall was a fourth-round pick. It seems unlikely the Jets got any interest higher than that this year, especially since he’s been banged up with a quad injury.

While Hall may not be on the move, it doesn’t mean that the Jets will be inactive at the trade deadline. Several veterans could still be on the block, like Harrison Phillips and Nahshon Wright.

All trades across the league must be finalized by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
