Aaron Rodgers looks ready to roll in the New York Jets’ green and white

New York Jets players have reported to Florham Park for training camp – and it appears media day proceedings are underway as well.

The Jets’ official Twitter account shared a photo of quarterback Aaron Rodgers donning his new uniform for the very first time. Rodgers is seen rocking a green No. 8 jersey and white pants.

Funnily enough, even though the green-on-white combination is technically the team’s primary home look, the Jets never wore it in the 2022 season. In fact, they only wore the green jerseys once, pairing them with green pants in a Week 15 loss to the Lions.

In other uniform-related news, the Jets also announced that safety Adrian Amos will become the first player in franchise history to wear the No. 0.

Jets fans continue to speculate about the possibility of throwback uniforms being unveiled -especially with the Seattle Seahawks earning rave reviews across the NFL for their unveiling of throwback uniforms earlier today. The Minnesota Vikings also unveiled throwback uniforms on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Jets offensive tackle Mekhi Becton teased the possibility of New York bringing back its classic New York Titans throwback uniforms.

The Jets have not worn their New York Titans throwbacks since a 32-3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2 of the 2011 season.

In that game, the Jets elected to wear navy blue jerseys, but we have also seen the Jets wear white jerseys as part of the New York Titans look. Mark Sanchez famously consumed a mid-game hot dog while wearing the white Titans jersey.

Personally, I like the Titans uniform much better with the white jersey than the blue jersey, but to each their own.
